This september I had the opportunity to visit Lake District, UK for a short retreat and stayed at the gorgeous Beech Hill Hotel & Spa. Lake District is a popular holiday destination in North West England which is famous for its lakes, forests and mountains and its associations with William Wordsworth, Beatrix Potter and John Ruskin. The beautiful Beech Hill Hotel is situated on Windermere, the largest natural lake in England.
Our favourite thing about staying at Beech Hill Hotel was our modern and spacious “Family room” with stunning lake view and patio doors leading onto a private balcony (my greatest weakness…). Whether you want to enjoy your room service on the balcony, or cozy up on the couch and watch a movie, or even do a bit of work on the laptop, this room has all our needs taken care of! Our room was extremely spacious (exactly what you need when travelling with a baby) and had a certain countryside charm to it. I loved admiring the lake view from our private balcony and when the rain started, I could continue to enjoy the stunning view and listen to the calming rain sound with Fabian from the two modern armchairs situated near the patio doors. I must add, Fabian was very pleased to see the workspace in the room where he could do his job while savouring a hot chocolate or an english tea.
The moment we entered the hotel, we were welcomed by friendly staff who helped us check in and get settled. I didn’t even have to ask because the receptionist told me everything I needed to know about the hotel. I particularly enjoyed the rural vibes from the main hall and the unique design of the fireplace.
While you are here, save some time for a decadent spa treatment at the hotel’s spa. The Hotel offers facial treatment, massage & body treatments and many more. They even have a pre natal massage for mums to be who are more than 12 weeks into their term. I wish I knew about this while I was pregnant 😬 You can also enjoy the interior pool, the Himalayan Sauna or you can chill out in the Steam.
Have you planned your next trip yet? If not, how about a retreat in Lake District at Beech Hill Hotel & Spa? I promise you won’t regret it!
